What Is Spiritual Direction/Companionship
We use the terms “spiritual direction” and “spiritual companionship” interchangeably. Both refer to the same contemplative, presence‑centered practice of deep listening and supporting the inner spiritual journey.
What Is Spiritual Direction/Companionship?

Spiritual Direction/Companionship is a sacred, intentional space where you can explore your relationship with the Divine — however you name or understand it. It is a practice rooted in deep listening, presence, and companionship. Rather than offering advice or solutions, a spiritual director walks alongside you as you listen for the movement of Spirit in your everyday life.

At Tacheria, we honor the truth that wisdom lives within each person. Spiritual Direction creates room for that inner wisdom to surface through reflection, silence, curiosity, and compassionate attention. It is a gentle invitation to slow down, notice, and reconnect with the sacred woven through your ordinary days.
A Relationship of Deep Listening

Spiritual Direction is not therapy, counseling, or pastoral care. Instead, it is a relationship grounded in:
-
Presence — showing up fully, without judgment
-
Companionship — walking the journey with you, not ahead of you
-
Discernment — noticing where Spirit may be nudging, comforting, or inviting
-
Sacred Listening — hearing not only your words, but the deeper story beneath them

Your spiritual director holds space for your questions, longings, doubts, joys, and unfolding sense of meaning. Together, you explore how the Divine is speaking in your life — through relationships, dreams, challenges, creativity, nature, and the quiet moments in between.
Who Is Spiritual Direction For?

Spiritual Direction is for anyone seeking a deeper, more grounded connection with the Sacred. People come to this practice when they are:
-
longing for a more meaningful spiritual life
-
navigating transitions or uncertainty
-
seeking clarity or discernment
-
feeling spiritually dry or disconnected
-
exploring new forms of prayer or contemplative practice
-
desiring a companion on the journey of awakening

You do not need a particular belief system or tradition. Tacheria’s approach is fully interfaith, honoring the many ways people experience and name the Holy.
What Happens in a Session?

A typical session lasts about an hour and may include:
-
quiet grounding or silence
-
reflective conversation
-
noticing where Spirit is present in your life
-
exploring questions, images, dreams, or experiences
-
gentle invitations toward deeper awareness
The pace is unhurried. The focus is your lived experience and the sacred presence within and around you.
Why Spiritual Direction Matters

In a world that moves quickly, Spiritual Direction offers a rare gift:
a place to slow down and listen to your soul.

Over time, many people find that this practice supports:
-
a deeper sense of peace and clarity
-
greater alignment with their values
-
renewed connection with the Divine
-
increased self‑compassion
-
a more grounded, intentional way of living

Spiritual Direction doesn’t give you answers — it helps you discover the ones already rising within you.
An Interfaith Approach Rooted in Love and Respect

Tacheria’s spiritual directors come from diverse backgrounds and traditions, yet share a common commitment: to honor the sacred in every person. We believe that love, peace, and wisdom live within each of us, and that spiritual companionship can help awaken those gifts.

Whether you are beginning a spiritual journey or deepening a long‑held practice, you are welcome here.
